Popsiq releases their debut album "Life Is Alive" The Gothenburg, Sweden based band "Popsiq" released their first single in July of this year. Together with the album release in October, Popsiq is releasing their second single, the album title track, "Life Is Alive". Popsiq is comprised of 20-year-old lead vocalist Frida Olsson, and 23-year-old guitarist Jonas Hansson. Both Frida and Jonas have a broad musical background, having played in a number of different bands in Torslanda, outside Gothenburg, Sweden. Popsiq's debut album is full of songs informed by personal experience. Diagnosed with cancer at a young age, Frida remained positive, and eventually overcame her disease. Today she celebrates the joy, sadness, happiness, and all other things that make us human, writing about her personal struggles and successes on the album. "The music has been the biggest engine in our lives. To write powerful pop songs for music lovers all over the world has always been a dream and a goal for us", says Frida. The band worked with producer Chriz Macel, who has worked previously with gold and platinum-selling artists such as Måns Zelmerlöw and Bosson.
